OVERVIEW
Space with inornate original materials, marks with traces of demolding and construction, the texture beauty with environmental light refracting unevenly on the walls creates the atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Not only should the design development preserve the traits of the house, but it should know more about the owners’ past lifestyle and his imagination of future life to integrate the most suitable living environment at present.
Public area design adopts space combination of two dimensions. From the living room to the relaxing parlor, we extend the flat space of the first floor horizontally. The field of vision can reach out to the greenness outdoors. The other dimension is to develop upwards. We add an arc air bridge on the second floor to strengthen the advantage of high ceiling and link up the life interaction of the two floors.
The arc air bridge set in the ceiling-raised area goes over the middle of the slat ceiling on the first floor, forming the elegant curve through the angle of vision extension. Built with metal punched materials, the main part of the bridge can superimpose the lights with the traits of the materials. When the lights freely shower down through the apertures or even the shadows created due to movements, the space can be abundantly checkered with lights and shades. The opening of the collection display on the bridge does not totally turn outwards. It holds the marginal flexibility for adjustment. The owner can move his body to and fro freely when he changes his collection displays to form a very interesting active viewing style and to offer relaxation and displays. Therefore people can feel the space from different angles. The space is just like an art gallery and every corner is a specific view.
All the materials and furniture used in the space can embellish energetic colors and integrate wooden and earthenware decoration. The owner can have his preference but still can retain exquisiteness with roughness and simplicity. Lights, air and greenness wander in the space and encircle the owner mildly and firmly.
